Tumaini-Hope Community Garden

World Relief Triad

Project Description:

The Tumaini-Hope Community Garden is using these funds to allow the focus of the garden to be on refugee and immigrant integration while extending resources out to the wider community.  Currently the group has 52 individuals participating in the garden and are using no pesticides on the land.  The funds allow World Relief to install a sanitation facility, fencing, and beautification of the garden.  The food grown in 2018 in the garden totaled over 8 barrels each weighing between 335lbs – 350lbs.  Extra produce was put at the World Relief office for other clients to take home.
