The Greater High Point Food Alliance Invites Guilford County DSS Representatives to discuss H.R. 1's Updates to SNAP & Medicaid in Informative Session

The federal law, H.R. 1, rolled out on July 4th, 2025, and includes major changes to Medicaid and the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP). These changes add new work requirements, increase paperwork, and adjust funding, which could make it harder for some people to keep their health coverage or food benefits. SNAP changes may also shift more costs to states and reduce benefits for certain households. This information session outlines these updates, describes who may be affected, and how these changes affect our community.
